Cold Aston Village Hall

The Village Hall was opened in 1926. Over the years it has been the venue for numerous social events and various clubs. In 1997 Cold Aston Village Hall became a charitable trust, run by a management committee of trustees from the local village community. The hall is used actively for village social events, film nights, keep fit classes, art exhibitions and private hire, as well as by the Village School.

The wooden fabric of the hall means that regular timber preservation and repair is needed, and other hall improvements are made to keep pace with modern needs. Major building works were completed in 2004. The hall now has new facilities including an accessible wc, main entrance with ramp and wider doors and improved internal storage. Cold Aston Village Hall complies with the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act, as well as benefiting from all of the improvements. A new shed with more storage space has also been installed recently.

The hall also has a 100 Club contributing much of the funding needed to cover the routine running costs of the hall.

Over the years the hall has played an important role within the village with many Historic Events being held within the hall itself.
